Yan Diomande makes honest admission on future

Yan Diomande has been excellent in the World Cup for Ivory Coast so far, having registered an assist for Nicolas Pepe’s opening goal in a 2-0 win vs Curacao last night.

It took his tally to two assists in three group stage games, whilst also being awarded the Man of the Match award in the opening win vs Ecuador.

The victory ensured Ivory Coast’s progression to the round of 32. He has also completed 10+ dribbles and created 10+ chances in his opening three games, which only help RB Leipzig demand a higher fee.

Meanwhile, there were also false reports going around this week that Leipzig had rejected a second Liverpool bid for the 19-year-old winger. It came after Liverpool tabled a huge first offer worth around €100m that was rejected.

However, Sky Germany came out to deny those claims circulating on social media.

Now speaking after the win, Yan Diomade has admitted that he is not thinking about his club future, and is just focused on the World Cup at the moment:

“I don’t know. I’m not thinking about my future after the World Cup,” he said to Sky Sports.

“I’m trying to put all my energy into the World Cup and see what’s going to happen after, but I can’t say anything about my future.”

DaveOCKOP.com revealed exclusively last week that Liverpool are expected to go back to RB Leipzig with an improved offer in the region of €115 million for Yan Diomande.

The forward, who is represented by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports, is believed to be set for a contract worth around £180,000 per week.

Hopefully, it’s a saga that does not rumble too long after the World Cup, but now looks unlikely to be clear before the showpiece event is over.
