Irked Piers Morgan has branded Scotland boss Steve Clarke "a surly p****" after he walked out of a post-match interview.
Frustrated Clarke shut down a BBC interview after his nation's World Cup hopes were left hanging by a thread following a 3-0 defeat to Brazil.
It was a lacklustre end to the group stage as Carlo Ancelotti's men dominated in Miami - running out comfortable winners and dealing major damage to Scotland's goal difference and all-but confirming the end of their run in North America.
However, a spot in the round of 32 remains on the cards as one of the best ranked third-place sides.
A question about the potential of making history through that route saw Clarke storm out of the pitchside debrief, and Morgan was not impressed with the response.
Speaking on Sports Uncensored with John Terry and Simon Jordan, for the former Good Morning Britain host went in two-footed on Clarke:
He said: "They got walloped by Brazil, but a lot of the heat has been coming to Steve Clarke - who of course you played under at Chelsea when he was a coach there - but let's look at his reaction here afterwards [plays clip of interview walkout].
"The general reaction, and I think it's justified, is that he is just a surly p****. Why behave like that?
"I mean, you have got the Tartan Army, who have been unbelievably brilliant the whole tournament, thousands of them have spent loads of money to get there and rally behind their boys.
"They have been massively underperforming, let's be honest, on the pitch given the talent they have got I think. But for Steve Clarke to behave in a surly, rude manner to people just doing their jobs - what do you think?"
Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan responded first, stating: "He is not necessarily trying to be surly to the person asking the question, he is trying to manage his emotions. You look at this on a human level and go 'this is a manager that is thoroughly p***** off, right?

"He knows that his team haven't performed well, and he is representing wonderful fans, and the expectations of the Scottish fans.
"On the flip side of that I concur with your view, the surly p**** view. You know what is coming, this isn't your first rodeo. Steve has got to do better."
But Terry offered a more light-hearted view of his former Stamford Bridge coach, joking: "He is not the happiest of men at the best of times, Clarkey.

"It's difficult for managers and players to go out after the game, especially after you have played so poorly.
"You reflect on your interviews, as I did as a player, after games and think 'I wish I had said that differently'. I'm sure he will, but he is a passionate guy as well."
