Man Utd accelerate to sign £104m LFC target - wants wages worth €240,000 per week

Liverpool could be set to watch Manchester United sign Felix Nmecha from Borussia Dortmund amid claims that the Mancunians are accelerating on their interest in the German midfield powerhouse.

Earlier this week, Sport Bild claimed that Liverpool are one of the clubs that have made contact with Nmecha’s agents, but there is a lot of competition for his signature.

The report reads: “Max Eberl has recently contacted Felix Nmecha’s representatives to express Bayern’s interest. Manchester City, Manchester United, and Liverpool have all inquired about Nmecha.”

Now it seems like United are advancing on Nmecha faster than the other linked clubs. Nmecha is being valued at around £104m in what is fast becoming one of the most inflated transfer markets in recent years.

Latest Felix Nmecha transfer news

According to Sky Germany reporter Patrick Berger, Liverpool are one of the clubs keeping a very close eye on Nmecha, although it is Manchester United who are accelerating to sign him

Berger reports: “Manchester United are stepping up their pursuit of Felix Nmecha. Christopher Vivell (Man Utd Director of Recruitment) remains in close contact with the player’s camp.

“Manchester City, Liverpool and Real Madrid are all keeping a close eye on the situation. A move to the Premier League is viewed as a realistic option in the future.

“But for now Nmecha is happy at Dortmund and fully focused on the World Cup with Germany. With the start of the new season, Nmecha is set to move into the salary bracket previously occupied by Niklas Süle.”

Nmecha set to earn massive salary at Dortmund if he stays in Germany

Liverpool and Manchester United will need to be prepared to pay a huge sum of money weekly to Nmecha if they are to beat Dortmund’s expected proposal.

Berger states that Nmecha will move into the same salary bracket as Niklas Sule, who reportedly earned around €240,000 per week after bonuses, which is around the £200k/week mark.

The 25-year-old is shining at the World Cup for Germany this month and with Liverpool scanning the midfield market, it’s not surprising that he’s being linked with a move to Anfield.
