Man Utd explore Nmecha deal as Tonali alternative

Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha, whose £73.5million release clause could be activated during the summer transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, there is hope that negotiations between the two clubs that could see a deal struck below the buyout figure.

The Germany international is attracting attention from several top clubs, including Newcastle.

But United have been monitoring Nmecha since before the World Cup, with the 25-year-old now emerging as one of the club's leading transfer targets this summer with Sandro Tonali expected to join Tottenham

The Mail report that a first offer worth around £55million was dismissed, and now an improved formal bid is incoming.

The 26-year-old centre-back is expected to finalise the move once France’s World Cup exploits end. The tournament runs until July 19.

Newcastle are considering a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha, which could serve as a transfer boost for Arsenal.

Standard Sport understands that Arsenal have held initial talks with Bruno Guimaraes’ representatives to understand his situation at St James’ Park after Newcastle missed out on European qualification.

The Gunners have registered their interest in signing the 28-year-old this summer and are believed to have made an informal proposal of around £55million.

However, it is understood there has been no direct contact with Newcastle and an official offer has not been submitted as it stands.

Manchester United have reportedly struck their second agreement of the week with Andre Onana set to rejoin Trabzonspor for a second loan spell.

Onana spent this season on loan in Turkey, making 33 appearances in all competitions for Trabzonspor as he helped them finish third in the Super Lig and thus qualifying for the Europa League play-off round.

While the original loan did not include an option or obligation to buy, Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan revealed earlier in the month that the plan was to bring the goalkeeper back to the Senol Gunes Sports Complex.

"We speak with Onana every day. We won't have any financial difficulties,” Dogan said.

"We'll make the necessary sacrifices. I don't think we will experience any setbacks. But if we do, we will find another goalkeeper of the same quality."

Suarez sends Alvarez message amid Arsenal interest

Luis Suarez has told Julian Alvarez he knows how he feels as the Atletico Madrid striker continues to be linked with a transfer this summer.

Paz to 're-sign' for Como

Nico Paz is set to ‘re-sign’ for Como, according to reports in Italy.

The Argentine, who joined the Italian side back in 2024 from Real Madrid, had a cheap buyback clause in his contract at the Serie A club, which Madrid triggered this summer.
