Hello and welcome to the Mirror's transfer news live blog for Saturday, June 27.

The World Cup may currently be demanding football fans' attention across the globe, but in the background, some huge moves are being processed or negotiated. Elliot Anderson's move to Manchester City from Nottingham Forest is expected to be fully announced in the next few days.

While City may soon be celebrating signing the England international, one of Manchester United's plans has had a spanner thrown into the works.

Meanwhile, the Reds are still trying to sign West Ham United's Mateus Fernandes, but Tottenham Hotspur have now entered the fray.

Newcastle United are also braced more more offers for their two midfield stars Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali, with Arsenal looking at both.

Manchester United are set to finally announce the signing of Cristian Camilo Orozco. The Red agreed a deal with him in September last year, but could not formally join until he turned 18.

Accompanied with Giuseppe Antonaccio, Manchester United’s chief scout, the Colombian is set to arrive in the UK soon, according to AS Colombia.

Tottenham have announced young strike Alejo Veliz will leave the club at the end of the month.

Veliz arrived in north London from Argentinian side Rosario Central in the summer of 2023. He made eight first team appearances between now and then, including socring a Premier League goal against Brighton in Dece, ber 2023.

However, he will depart the club to sign for Brazilian side Bahia on July 1.

Tottenham have not given up on their hopes of signing Sandro Tonali. Newcastle United have already rejected a huge bid of £80million from the north Londoners.

The Magpies are fighting transfer battles on multiple fronts with Arsenal also trying to sign Bruno Guimaraes. After Spurs saw a £75m bid for Tonali be rejected, they sent the same offer back to the Magpies and urged them to reconsider.

Sky Sports have already claimed Tonali is willing to move to Tottenham, but the north Londoners still have a battle on their hands in regards to convincing his club to sell.

Arsenal have been tipped to send a second transfer bid for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. The Gunners are looking to further fortify their midfield after winning the Premier League.

So much so they have already had a bid for £55million be rejected. However, according to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are preparing a second bid for the ex-Lyon star.

Mateus Fernandes is undecided between Manchester United and Tottenham, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Portuguese midfielder is expected to leave West Ham United after they were relegated this summer. However, this setback for the Hammers has not disuaded them from playing hard ball by putting an £85million price tag on his head.

Fernandes has been linked with United for weeks, but Spurs entered the fray recently and have appeared to pique his interest. West Ham are expected to sell to the highest bidder, but Fernandes will still have a degree of power when it comes to the choice of club.

Manchester United's transfer plans have been rocked by, what appeared to be, a serious injury to Manuel Ugarte. The midfielder was stretchered off while playing for Uruguay against Spain.

He looked in serious distress as he was carried off the pitch. This is a huge problem for the player and his club, as he was expected to seal a move out of Old Trafford this summer.

This injury may put those plans on hold for some time, particularly if it's as serious as it looks.
