Former Aston Villa defender Tommy Elphick is set to secure his move to Liverpool to become the assistant of Andoni Iraola at Anfield.
Elphick and Shaun Cooper are both expected to seal their switch to Merseyside after reaching agreements to leave Bournemouth.
Elphick and Cooper were trusted lieutenants of Iraola, who was appointed Reds boss after the departure of Arne Slot.
Sky Sports journalist Mark McAdam reported that Elphick and Cooper had to agree the terminations of their deals with Bournemouth in order to join Liverpool.
Elphick spent three years at Villa, making 41 appearances but has now stepped up into coaching and was linked strongly with the Bristol City job before the appointment of Michael Skubala.
Elphick's arrival at Liverpool comes after the Reds made their first major signing under Iraola by beating Newcastle to the punch for Victor Munoz of Osasuna.
The Reds activated the winger's buyout clause and his move will become official on July 1.
Speaking about the deal, Munoz, who is on World Cup duty with Spain, said: "The truth is it all happened very quickly but, well, when an opportunity like this comes along, you just can't let it slip by.
"It's something unique to be able to play there at Anfield, and both my family and I had absolutely no doubts.
"The truth is it's a chapter for my future that could be really special. I'm really looking forward to it."
