Chelsea are setting themselves up to entertain bids for Trevoh Chalobah this summer. Many European clubs including Italian club Como are interested in him. The Blues may sanction a sale for the English defender. The club’s new management wants to refresh the defensive setup.
Trevoh Chalobah and Chelsea may not continue together
As reported by Football London, Chalobah is increasingly becoming uncertain about his future at Chelsea. His stay at the Stamford Bridge may not be for a long time. As reported by Chelsea’s official website, the Englishman had signed a contract extension back in November 2022. Therefore, his current deal runs up to 2028 with an option to extend it by one year to 2029.
Chalobah is going to enter into his second last year of his contract. But Chelsea have not hinted anything about his contract extension. The London club has not started discussing about his future with the defender. This failure to address the Premier League player’s contract has encouraged other clubs in Europe to make a move. Various clubs who will take part in Champions League next season have levelled up their interest. They have started to keep their tabs on him.

Cesc Fabregas’ Como will join the race for Chalobah along with European teams

Inter Milan have also viewed the 26-year-old as one of their centre back options.

Trevoh Chalobah has shown his abilities on the pitch for several seasons at Stamford Bridge. But Alonso wants a new profile who will fit into the defense line of his system.
