A stunning statistic, highlighting the excellence of Barcelona star Pau Cubarsí at this summer’s World Cup to date, has come to the fore online.
This comes fresh off another standout showing on the part of the 19-year-old earlier today.
Spain were of course back in action early on Saturday, rounding out their group stage fixtures at the World Cup in a meeting with Uruguay.
The aforementioned Cubarsí featured from the off in the matchup, his third successive start for Luis de la Fuente’s troops.
And en route to an eventual 1-0 La Roja triumph, the Barcelona prodigy shone bright once more.
Cubarsí’s exploits when in possession have been a particular highlight in North America this summer, with the defender having barely misplaced a pass to date.
In fact, as revealed by journalist Pablo Lopez, of his 294 attempted passes at the World Cup, Cubarsí, incredibly, has managed to find his intended target with all but five.
This makes for a pass completion rate of over 98%.
