Granit Xhaka wants shock Chelsea move

Granit Xhaka wants to join Chelsea this summer, reports claim.

Standard Sport understands that the Blues are interested in a shock deal for the ex-Arsenal captain in this transfer window.

However, talks have not yet taken place with Sunderland, who do not want to sell their own influential skipper.

Fabrizio Romano states that Xhaka, who turns 34 in September, very much wants to reunite with former Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso at Stamford Bridge and has expressed a keen desire to return to London.

Arsenal get new Bruno Guimaraes boost

Arsenal appear to have received a significant boost in their high-profile pursuit of Bruno Guimaraes.

The Gunners are long-time admirers of the influential Newcastle captain, having apparently seen an opening bid worth £55m rejected earlier this week.

Arsenal are now believed to be preparing a second offer for Guimaraes, who is currently away at the World Cup with Brazil.

According to TEAMtalk, the reigning Premier League champions have held extensive talks with the player’s camp in recent weeks and received “all the encouragement they need” with regards to their transfer ambitions.

FootballTransfers also claim that Guimaraes’ team have given the “green light” for Arsenal to push for a deal with Newcastle.

Brighton are set to sign Pascal Struijk from Leeds.

The Athletic report that Fabian Hurzeler’s men are set to replace Jan Paul van Hecke with another Dutchman, with the Seagulls paying £20million.

PSG close on Akliouche

Paris Saint-Germain are set to strike an agreement for Maghnes Akliouche.

Man Utd star set for loan

Chido Obi is set to join FC Koln on a season-long loan from Manchester United, Pete O’Rourke reports.

The 18-year-old made eight first-team appearances under Ruben Amorim during the 2024-25 campaign but spent most of last season with the club's Under-21 side.

The move is expected to give the young striker regular senior football in the Bundesliga.

Man Utd ahead of Spurs in Fernandes race

Manchester United have moved ahead of Tottenham in the race to sign Mateus Fernandes from West Ham United, Nico Schira claims.

Despite a lucrative offer from Spurs, United are currently leading the pursuit, with talks ongoing. Real Madrid have also requested information on Fernandes, but Jose Mourinho's priority midfield target remains Enzo Fernandez of Chelsea.

Liverpool to rival Arsenal for Guimaraes

Liverpool have made an enquiry about Bruno Guimaraes, Ben Jacobs reports.

The Reds are not actively pursuing a deal for the Newcastle midfielder, but have held talks with his representatives.

Arsenal are still further along with their pursuit of the Brazilian.

Chelsea register Xhaka interest

Standard Sport understands that the Blues are interested in signing the Swiss midfielder, who is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal to lodge new Guimaraes bid

Arsenal are expected to test Newcastle with a bid worth around £80million for Bruno Guimaraes. The Gunners have made the Brazilian their priority midfield target ahead of Sandro Tonali. The Magpies insist that they want to keep the 28-year-old, who has no plans to sign a new contract.
