Liverpool have already completed their first acquisition under Andoni Iraola's management. However, additional reinforcements are expected to arrive before the upcoming Premier League campaign begins.

The Arne Slot era has concluded at Anfield, with former Bournemouth manager Iraola inheriting a squad that secured only fifth place, having claimed the top-flight crown just one season earlier.

Mohamed Salah's exit represents merely one of several anticipated squad overhauls, while Victor Munoz has joined from Osasuna. Jeremy Jacquet is also set to arrive from Rennes following that deal being finalised in February.

Meanwhile, the Reds are pursuing one of World Cup 2026's most exciting emerging talents, Yan Diomande. The ECHO provides an update on the RB Leipzig winger alongside the latest Liverpool transfer developments.

Yan Diomande warning sent

Liverpool's chase for Diomande, viewed as a potential replacement for Salah, appears set to dominate the club's transfer activity this window. The Reds have allegedly demonstrated their readiness to spend £86m on the player, who has shone for the Ivory Coast at the World Cup.

This figure is believed to fall short of Leipzig's valuation, with reports suggesting they demand in excess of £100m for Diomande. Paris Saint-Germain are amongst the other clubs reportedly monitoring the situation.

However, discussions surrounding Randal Kolo Muani, who spent last season on loan at Tottenham, could serve as a cautionary tale for Liverpool. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus officials are travelling to France for talks with PSG regarding a possible transfer for their forward Kolo Muani.

Should he depart, this could create space in the squad for Diomande. Furthermore, if PSG can secure a reasonable fee, this could fund a potential deal, meaning Iraola's team may not wish to delay their approach.

Eduardo Camavinga contact

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo suggests that Liverpool are pursuing Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, who was omitted from France's World Cup squad.

The Spanish outlet reports that the Reds have established contact over the Frenchman, with Real Madrid seeking to offload a midfielder to fund other transactions this summer.

Nevertheless, it is understood that the 23-year-old is reluctant to leave the Bernabeu. Camavinga is determined to prove to incoming manager Jose Mourinho that he can be an important member of his squad and has instructed his representatives to reject any proposals that may arrive. He is valued at around £52m.
