Jurgen Klopp is one step away from putting on a United States jersey.
While Wisconsin-born Jesse Marsch has gone full Canadian in the 2026 World Cup, Klopp has become the latest big name to praise Mauricio Pochettino and the US Men's National Team.

"It is the best team USA has ever had," Klopp told ESPN.
The former Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund manager is participating in the biggest sports tournament in history as a German broadcaster.
After watching USMNT win Group D and set up a favorable Round of 32 matchup vs No. 61-ranked Bosnia and Herzegovina on home soil, Klopp has become an even bigger fan of the US Soccer roster and the chemistry that Pochettino has created.
"You have a striker who plays in France, played in England," said Klopp, referring to London-born and Arsenal product Folarin Balogun.

"You have a winger who plays everywhere in (Christian) Pulisic. The last line (defenders), plays or played in the Premier League. Midfield plays or played in the Premier League or in Italy -- you never had a team like that."
Klopp joined FOX Sports' Zlatan Ibrahimovic in praising USMNT in the 2026 World Cup.
"If you didn’t believe before, I will repeat: Start believing," Ibrahimovic said.
With America more invested than ever before in USMNT -- and Klopp already calling the 2026 squad the best USA team in history -- Pochettino won't have any excuses if Pulisic and Co. fail to advance to the Round of 16.
Factor in that USMNT isn't scheduled to leave America from its brilliant 4-1 opening win vs Paraguay until the July 19 World Cup final at New York Jersey Stadium, and it's not a coincidence that one of the best coaches in Premier League history is so big on the primary home team of the tournament.
"A sensational coach with Mauricio," Klopp said. "Yeah, you have a good team."

Belgium, Spain and France could stand in USMNT's way if Pochettino coaches his speedy and energetic squad past Bosnia on Wednesday at San Francisco Bay Area Stadium.
But a 6-1 combined score vs Paraguay and Australia in Group play was proof of how dynamic USMNT can be with a roaring 'USA, USA USA!' crowd in the immediate background and buzzing fans gathered at watch parties across the country.
"I need to remember you and everyone that we won the group. Sorry, guys. We won," Pochettino told reporters after a 3-2 loss to Turkiye in a meaningless Group D finale.
Those biting comments were a public reminder of what's really at stake for Pulisic, Balogun and Pochettino as the 2026 World Cup becomes real.
Anything less than reaching the quarterfinals will be an organizational disappointment, especially after the scorching start inside Los Angeles Stadium and with packed NFL venues becoming a 12th Man match after match for USMNT.
When Klopp is telling the world that this really is the best team in US Soccer history, beating Bosnia on Wednesday and triumphing over Belgium (or Senegal) in the Round of 16 are musts.

Coming to America
No one will realistically predict USMNT to topple Spain or France -- it could take another couple generations of American development for that to even become a tease in a future World Cup.
But with the United States already hinting that it wants to host the 2038 World Cup and an all-time record attendance in the history books before the first knockout match was played, it's time for USMNT to live up to Klopp's public praise.
One of the most famous names in Anfield history is waving the USA flag before a World Cup knockout game.
It's quarterfinals or bust for Pochettino's team -- and then USMNT's summer takeover of America will really begin.
