By now, most Liverpool fans are aware that Yan Diomande to Liverpool is likely not going to happen.
The Ivory Coast winger had made his preference for PSG keen, with the French outfit reportedly aiming to get him lower than what Liverpool offered for him earlier this June.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has already suggested that a transfer merry-go-round could occur, with Diomande going to PSG, and in turn, Bradley Barcola then making the switch to Anfield.
Now it appears that the predicted transfer domino could happen. Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato has reported that PSG would now be open to potentially selling Liverpool target Bradley Barcola:
“PSG is convinced that Yan Diomande will be the first summer signing Paris is confident about finalizing the deal in the coming days With the arrivals of Diomande and Akliouche, PSG would now consider offloading Bradley Barcola.”
He adds that PSG expect to reach an agreement with the RB Leipzig winger very quickly:
“According to our information, PSG is very confident about the feasibility of a deal in the coming days. And even probably before the one concerning Maghnes Akliouche, whose transfer is also expected this summer. PSG is certain to reach an agreement with the German club, while the player is currently shining at the 2026 World Cup with Ivory Coast.”
Barcola has managed a goal and an assist in three World Cup appearances for France so far, only starting one game.
The standout clip, and one that did the rounds on social media, was his chipped finish against Senegal in France’s opener. Coming off the bench, he timed his run perfectly, held his nerve as Edouard Mendy rushed out, and produced a cheeky dink.
