Arsenal aims to bring Ayyoub Bouaddi on board. The Gunners are aggressively pursuing the teenage sensation from Morocco. However, he’s put forth a condition that the North London club may not accept easily.

Ayyoub Bouaddi puts forward a condition for Arsenal

As reported by Football London, the 18-year-old Bouaddi is on the priority list of Arsenal. Even the team’s sports director Andrea Berta is closely observing the Moroccan midfielder’s latest performances. He also contacted the representatives of the teenage midfielder.

Interestingly, French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain is also in the race for securing Bouaddi. His own club Lille are not too keen to let him go either. However, the Moroccan has a condition. If he is allowed to play a key role in the starting lineup, he has no problems with a transfer. Unfortunately, the Gunners are not too sure about fulfilling this condition.

Bouaddi joined Lille in 2023. He played for the team’s reserve team in the early half of 2023. Before that, he played for the Lille youth academy team from 2021 to 2023.

Bouaddi’s stats for the 2025-26 season, as per FOTMOB:

Competitions Matches Assists Successful Passes Passing Accuracy

Ligue 1 30 1 899 85%

Coupe de France 2 0 – –

UEFA Europa League 10 0 258 89%

How can Arsenal benefit from Ayyoub Bouaddi’s potential entry?

It won’t be easy for Bouaddi to remain consistent with Arsenal. The North London club has way too many expert players to take care of. These include the likes of Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi, and Mikel Merino among others. Even in the midfield itself, Bouaddi would have to compete with Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze for a consistent slot.

However, if the Moroccan midfielder joins Arsenal, he could help in maintaining the winning momentum. The Gunners had a dream run last year. With the lone exception of the FA Cup, they reached the final of every major tournament they participated in. The Gunners also won back the Premier League after more than two decades. They narrowly missed out on the UEFA Champions League title.

Team manager Mikel Arteta wants a stronger team for the upcoming season. Likewise, he also wants an equally strong defensive lineup. This is why the North London club is seeking players like Nathaniel Brown and Emmanuel Mbemba among others.

What’s next for Ayyoub Bouaddi?

Bouaddi has set his sights on the FIFA World Cup for now. He is a part of the Morocco team that aims to extend its legacy from the 2022 edition. Against all odds, Morocco entered the semifinals of the tournament. They became the first African team to do so.

However after the World Cup, Bouaddi needs to work hard on his discipline concerns. Last year, he was given seven yellow cards and a red card in Ligue 1 (2025-26). This is not a great sign for someone who wants to make it big in club football. Luckily, he doesn’t have any major fitness concerns for now.

Even though he was born in France, Bouaddi decided to make a switch to Morocco in May 2026, just a month ahead of the World Cup. He had previously represented the youth teams of France from U16 level to U21 levels between 2022 and 2026.

Arsenal wants nothing less than a repeat performance of the 2025-26 season. The head coach Mikel Arteta is ready to go to any extent to make this possible. If he manages to convince Bouaddi to enter Arsenal, it would be a bonus.
