However, he could now be on the verge of landing a new job which would see him face a former club next season.

According to Foot Mercato, Rosenior is in talks with French club Paris FC over a two-year deal.

The 41-year-old's contract would also include the option of a further 12 months.

Rosenior has been approached to replace Antoine Kombouare as manager.

Kombouare was appointed in February but is set to leave the club with a year remaining on his contract.

Paris FC finished 11th in Ligue 1 last season after returning to the top-flight for the first time in 46 years.

They ended the campaign 12 points clear of the relegation play-off place as they comfortably secured survival.

The club are set to begin the new season away to Troyes on Saturday, August 22.

If appointed, Rosenior would return to France just five months after leaving former club Strasbourg.

He spent a season-and-a-half with his old side before being appointed by Chelsea.

During that time, he finished seventh to qualify for the Conference League during the 2024/25 campaign.

However, Rosenior failed to replicate his success after being named as Enzo Maresca's replacement at Chelsea in January.

In 23 matches across all competitions, his side suffered 10 defeats including an 8-2 aggregate loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

Rosenior was ultimately dismissed after a run of seven losses in his final eight matches in charge.

The Blues went on to end the campaign in 10th place, their lowest Premier League finish in three years.

It also meant Chelsea will not play in Europe during the upcoming campaign after missing out on qualification.
