Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres has responded to rumours linking him with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona during the FIFA World Cup. The Sweden international is at the Mundial after an impressive debut season in England with the Premier League champions.

Gyokeres was asked by a reporter in a press conference to give his thoughts on the interest from Barcelona in his services. The 28-year-old played it cool and admitted that even though it felt flattering, he is happy at the Emirates and looks forward to remaining there.

“Of course it’s flattering to see that clubs are interested, but I feel extremely comfortable at Arsenal. After the season we have had, I only have positive feelings", he said (via Tribal Football).

Arsenal paid over £60 million to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Club after a lengthy saga last summer, and he delivered in his first season at the club. He scored 21 goals and provided three assists in 51 appearances to fire them to a first league title in 22 years.

Gyokeres has scored one goals and provided an assist for Sweden at the FIFA World Cup and is gearing up to face France in the first knockout round. His performances over the past season have impressed several clubs, including Barcelona, leading to interest in his services.

La Blaugrana are looking to sign a new striker to replace Robert Lewandowski, whose contract with the club expired at the end of the 2025-26 season. Gyokeres has now ruled himself out of contention for a move to the Nou Camp, as he prefers to remain with Arsenal beyond this summer.

Arsenal eyeing move for Barcelona star who missed out on FIFA World Cup: Reports

Arsenal are weighing up a move to sign Barcelona midfielder Marc Bernal this summer after his FIFA World Cup snub, as per reports. The Premier League champions are keen to add more quality to their squad, and have identified the Spaniard as a target.

Mundo Deportivo reports that the Gunners are interested in a move for Bernal, who has closed the door to an exit from his boyhood club this summer. They are not alone in their interest, with Chelsea and Manchester United also said to be keen on the services of the teenage midfielder.

Marc Bernal failed to make Spain's FIFA World Cup squad despite a strong showing in the second half of the season with Barcelona. The 19-year-old has a release clause worth €500 million in his contract, and is not being considered for a sale by the club.
