Liverpool are looking for more wide options in the summer transfer window, with Fabrizio Romano claiming that a potential situation could be "open" to the Reds in the coming weeks.
It comes after the Merseyside outfit were seemingly rejected by top target Yan Diomande, as the winger outlined his priority to join Paris Saint-Germain instead.
That may well have put an end to months of work from the club, after RB Leipzig made it clear that it would take over £100 million to secure a deal.
Now, Liverpool have to move on quickly to land a top target who could replace Mohamed Salah and add the quality that Andoni Iraola needs in his squad moving forward.
One name that is currently sticking out is that of Bradley Barcola.

Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for Barcola, as his situation with PSG continues to develop over a potentially complicated summer transfer window.
The winger is into the final two years of his contract in the French capital, and there is growing uncertainty over whether he will extend his contract or not.
As it stands, there have been suggestions that PSG are not open to a sale, but that could all change, as Fabrizio Romano claimed on his YouTube channel that the situation could open up.
He stated: "I told you several times, don't forget the name of Bradley Barcola. Don't forget that Barcola is a player that Liverpool wanted in summer 2025 and remains on Liverpool list for summer 2026 and that remains my position.
"Barcola remains a name for Liverpool. Then Paris Saint-Germain are yet to give the green light to his exit for this summer, but in all my videos, I told you many times there is movement around Bradley Barcola.
"I know in France many sources are saying he is not leaving PSG. My information is that the situation of Barcola remains still open, so there is still a possibility for Barcola to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer."
Liverpool will certainly be hoping that they can get the green light soon to seal a deal for the winger, with PSG's move for Diomande perhaps opening up that switch.
Barcola has been described as "one of the best wingers in the world", and for good reason, as he continues to develop into a top star for both club and country.
It remains to be seen whether it is possible, but the Reds will be looking for a swift resolution.

Liverpool Will Want A Quick Deal
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola watching on from the touchline
Liverpool's rejection from Diomande came as quite a blow, considering that the 19-year-old was a top target over the summer transfer window, and plenty of work had been done to bring him to Anfield.
There is one silver lining, in that the rejection comes relatively early in the transfer window still. Fortunately, that means the Reds have plenty of time to move on.
That said, a deal for the 'world-class' Barcola may well drag, due to PSG's own reluctance to sell as things stand. Liverpool will be hoping for a quick deal, not only so they can move on to other targets, but so Iraola knows what he will be working with this season.

The squad will report for pre-season in the coming weeks as preparations step up for the new campaign, and a full pre-season under the coach will help the team hit the ground running quicker.
A swift deal could give Liverpool exactly what they need to start fast next season, but it's unclear whether that will currently be possible.
