Alex Scott is attracting strong interest from several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.
The 22-year-old, who joined Bournemouth from Bristol City in 2023, was named in the England squad for the first time last November and later included in Thomas Tuchel’s extended pre-World Cup training camp in Florida, although he did not feature in a match.
Scott is set to enter the final two years of his current contract, with his growing reputation making him one of the most watched young midfielders in the Premier League.
According to BBC Sport, Bournemouth have rejected an enquiry from Arsenal and insist the midfielder is not for sale this summer.
The Premier League champions are looking to strengthen in central midfield, with the 22-year-old Scott understood to be among their targets.
Bournemouth have made clear their intention to keep the former Bristol City midfielder and are also keen to open talks over a new contract.
The Cherries are reportedly prepared to include a release clause in any new deal, similar to the one previously inserted for Antoine Semenyo.Semenyo’s £62.5m clause was activated in January, with Manchester City moving amid interest from Manchester United.
Despite recent high-profile sales including Dominic Solanke, Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez, Illia Zabarnyi and Dango Ouattara over the past two years, Bournemouth are reluctant to sanction Scott’s departure following their qualification for Europe for the first time in their history.
Alex Scott played a key role in Bournemouth’s 2025/26 season as they secured European qualification for the first time in their history.
Since joining from Bristol City three years ago in a deal worth around £25m, Scott has made 89 appearances for the Cherries and scored six goals across all competitions.
He missed just one of their 38 Premier League matches last season, scoring three goals. He came through the youth ranks at Southampton and Bournemouth before a spell at Guernsey FC in 2019.
