Fresh from concluding their 22-year wait for a Premier League title, morale is soaring at the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta is intent on ensuring Arsenal stay at the summit and is anticipated to receive substantial backing in the transfer market, with the Gunners pursuing additions in midfield, on the left flank and in attack. The club secured its first signing of the summer last week by converting Piero Hincapie's loan spell from Bayer Leverkusen into a permanent transfer worth £34.5million.

The 24-year-old Ecuador international is anticipated to be the first of multiple signings before the Gunners commence the 2026-27 campaign at home to newly-promoted Coventry City on August 21.

Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta have reportedly been allocated a remarkable £250m transfer war chest as Arsenal seek to capitalise on last season's title success. football.london has examined more closely who could shortly be arriving in north London as the club's hierarchy aim to strengthen from a position of authority.

Morgan Rogers bid readied

A new left winger is a priority for Arsenal this summer and the Gunners are believed to be frontrunners in the pursuit of Morgan Rogers, who is presently representing England at the FIFA World Cup. The Aston Villa forward, who netted 14 goals in all competitions last season, is also drawing interest from Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea.

However, Arsenal are confident they hold the advantage in the pursuit of Rogers' services. According to TEAMtalk, the Gunners are ready to meet the £100m-plus valuation likely necessary to convince Villa to part with their star.

Rogers is also understood to have been captivated by Arteta's blueprint for his position within the squad, with the Spaniard regarding the 23-year-old as a significant improvement on Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, who alternated responsibilities on the left wing last term. One substantial obstacle remains Villa, who have repeatedly insisted they will only relinquish one of their prized possessions for a club-record sum, eclipsing Jack Grealish's £100m transfer to Manchester City in 2021.

Addressing recent speculation linking Rogers to Arsenal, Villa manager Unai Emery said: "He has improved massively, he is hungry, humble and still has so much room to grow. My message to Morgan is simple: continue here, continue developing and the future will come naturally."

'Dream signing' free to move

Arteta's ambitions of strengthening his attacking arsenal have also received encouragement following Turkey's premature World Cup departure. The group stage exit means Juventus prospect Kenan Yildiz is now available to conduct discussions over a prospective switch to north London without any international commitments.

The 21-year-old claimed Serie A's Best Under-23 Player award last season, having contributed 10 goals and six assists across 33 league appearances. Those displays have reportedly caught the attention of Arteta, with the Arsenal manager said to consider the Turkish international his "dream signing" this summer.

Although no official approach has yet been lodged, the Gunners are reportedly prepared to invest significantly to bring Yildiz to the Premier League. The Italian club are understood to place a value of around €100m (£86m) on the player, with Arsenal braced to compete with Liverpool and Real Madrid for one of the most exciting young talents on the continent.
