Gabriel Jesus has intensified speculation over his Arsenal future after admitting he has long dreamed of playing in Serie A, with Juventus and AC Milan both continuing to monitor the Brazilian striker’s situation ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Arsenal forward made the candid admission during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, revealing that Italian football has always held a special place in his heart. His comments have added fresh momentum to reports linking him with a move away from the Emirates Stadium following an injury-hit campaign
“I grew up watching Serie A and dreamed of playing in Italy,” Jesus candidly revealed during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Scoring two goals at San Siro against Inter was like making that dream come true. I don’t know my future; I’m working now, and we’ll see what happens with Arsenal.”
Both Juventus and AC Milan have been credited with an interest in the former Manchester City striker in recent months. Italian reports suggest the two Serie A giants view Jesus as an experienced attacking option capable of strengthening their forward lines, although no formal offer has yet been confirmed.
Jesus also spoke openly about his omission from Brazil’s World Cup squad, admitting he understood head coach Carlo Ancelotti’s decision after struggling for consistent minutes during the latter stages of the season.
