Aston Villa are set to demand a British transfer record fee of £130m for Morgan Rogers this summer.
Arsenal are heavily interested in signing Rogers, as Mikel Arteta looks to add impact to his Premier League title-winning squad. Chelsea also retain a long-standing interest in the midfielder.
However, Aston Villa have no intention of allowing Rogers to leave and will demand a record-breaking fee for the 23-year-old.
Villa are using Elliot Anderson's £116m move from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City as a gauge of the current market, and believe a British record fee can be commanded for Rogers.
The midfielder has evolved into one of the most exciting talents in the Premier League at Villa Park.
He was named as the PFA Young Player of the Year in his first full season in 2024/25, before scoring 14 goals last season as Unai Emery's team secured a top-four finish and Europa League success. Villa's qualification for the Champions League has strengthened their position.
The Telegraph are reporting that Villa want £130m to consider his sale, a fee that would eclipse the £125m transfer that took Alexander Isak to Liverpool from Newcastle last summer.
It would also represent a second British transfer record sale from Aston Villa in five years, following Jack Grealish's move to Manchester City in 2021.
Middlesbrough will be keeping a close eye on Rogers' situation this summer and will hope one of the interested sides meet Villa's demands. The Championship club retain a sell-on clause and would earn £26m if Aston Villa's massive price tag is met.
