12 Liverpool players officially exit & Iraola’s pre-season boost – Latest LFC News

Twelve Liverpool players’ contracts expire at midnight, as Mo Salah‘s nine years at Anfield officially draw to a close.

12 Liverpool players leave the club officially

We have known for over three months that Salah will leave Liverpool this summer, but today is finally the day he officially departs the club.

At midnight, his and the contracts of 11 others will expire meaning they are no longer on Liverpool’s books.

Along with Andy Robertson, who has chosen Tottenham as his new club, and Ibrahima Konate who is on his way to Real Madrid, there are several younger players who are leaving.

Rhys Williams is now 25 years old and his deal is expiring, too – he has been on trial at New York Red Bulls in recent weeks.

There are also those in the academy who have been told they will not be offered new deals, meaning goalkeepers DJ Bernard and Jacob Poytress are to depart, as well as defenders Terence Miles, Josh Davidson and Emmanuel Airoboma.

Midfielder James Balagizi is also leaving, alongside forwards Kareem Ahmed and Oakley Cannonier.

You may remember Cannonier as the ball boy who had the quick-thinking to throw Trent Alexander-Arnold the ball to take his corner quickly, allowing Divock Origi to score and make it Liverpool 4-0 Barcelona.
