Arsenal have accepted a package worth £17 million from Besiktas for the potential transfer of Leandro Trossard this summer, according to Sporx.
The Belgium international has been a key player for the Gunners over the past three years, and he had a good 2025/26 season with 19 goal contributions.
Despite this, the club have opened the door for a summer sale. The 31-year-old’s contract expires in June next year, and the Gunners want to recoup their investment.
The Premier League champions have set an asking price of £17.2m for the versatile attacker.
Besiktas have already met the valuation and had the offer accepted by Mikel Arteta’s side.
Trossard wants to decide on his future after the World Cup with Belgium, but Besiktas are pushing for a quick decision, given the interest from the Saudi Pro League.
Recently promoted Al-Diraiyah have reportedly put in a similar offer on the table for the experienced forward and appear prepared to pay higher annual wages.
Trossard poised to leave Arsenal this summer
The former Brighton & Hove Albion man had a good first half of last season with 14 goal involvements, but managed just five following the turn of the year.
Trossard went on a four-month run without scoring before his winner at West Ham United last month.
The Belgian, described as a ‘massive weapon‘ by manager Mikel Arteta, has recaptured his scoring form at the World Cup, but the Gunners may want to recoup part of the £27m investment made to sign him.
Arsenal handed Trossard a big pay rise last summer without a contract renewal. This suggests they have been planning for his potential departure in 12 months.
£17m is a relatively good sum for a player turning 32 in December. Trossard could decide his future soon, with Besiktas and Al-Diraiyah having made similar offers.
Bournemouth are among his admirers too and could enter the race. The Genk graduate is more likely to pursue a fresh challenge away from the Premier League.
