Illan Meslier and David Raya both looking left in split images of them in action for Leeds United and Arsenal
The French goalkeeper is officially a free agent as of 1 July, leaving Elland Road upon the expiration of his contract.
After two years to forget, it was long awaited for all parties.
Daniel Farke signed Lucas Perri after promotion to the Premier League, but it was Karl Darlow who became his number one.
While Leeds scramble to sign Darlow to new terms, it's Meslier who appears to be on the radar of many.
Details of the interest will shock many Leeds fans, but the former LS11 star does has several seasons to be proud of.
Illan Meslier holds one thing over David Raya
Both Raya and Meslier made a name for themselves in the Championship.
For the ex-Leeds man, he was thrown into the deep end by Marcelo Bielsa after Kiko Casilla was banned for racist abuse.
Raya was the heart of a Brentford side who took several years to finally hit the Premier League, but stuck when they did.
Now, they could play together.
Luca Bendoni has reported via X for Sky Sports that Arsenal are interested in a deal for Meslier.
It's said that it is one to follow in case Kepa decides to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Despite their differing successes since, Meslier has managed more clean sheets in one Championship season than Raya, with 19 in 2024 to his 17 in 2021.
Illan Meslier also has Premier League record
It's strange that it ended so badly for Meslier, given what he has achieved at such a young age before.
Meslier remains the youngest goalkeeper to record at least 10 clean sheets in a Premier League season, ahead of legends such as Joe Hart.
For Meslier, it would see him become a solidified second-choice with little chance of consistent football.
But, any injury and the possibility of rotation in the cups could even see Meslier play Champions League football.
It's a hard move to possibly turn down, but it's up to Meslier to decide which route he wants to take his career in now.
