RB Leipzig have reportedly made their position clear over the future of highly rated winger Yan Diomande, insisting the winger will not be sold this summer despite strong interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United.
The Ivory Coast international has emerged as one of Europe’s most sought-after young attackers following a breakout campaign in the Bundesliga, with his performances for Leipzig and at international level attracting attention from several Premier League clubs.
However, the German side have moved to shut down speculation over a potential departure during the current transfer window.
According to reports in Germany, Leipzig sporting director Marcel Schäfer has reiterated that the club have no intention of sanctioning a sale, stressing that Diomande remains central to their long-term plans.
The Bundesliga side, known for developing and retaining young talent before eventual high-value departures, are understood to view the winger as untouchable for at least another season
The club’s managing director Marcel Schafer has now dismissed the idea their star man will be sold, He said: “Our clear intention is that Yan will play for RB Leipzig next year. And we won’t move away from that.
“We know exactly what we have in him. Of course, if Yan continues like this, the time will come when we allow him to take the next step – but not this year.
“We hold all the cards. So, to make it clear once again: Diomande will remain an RB Leipzig player.”
Despite this growing interest, Leipzig’s stance remains unchanged. Club officials are reportedly prepared to offer Diomande improved terms to reflect his rapid development and to ward off any immediate transfer approaches.
Sources suggest the German club believe retaining the player for another season is key to both their domestic ambitions and his continued progression.
The situation has been further complicated by speculation that Diomande himself is aware of interest from abroad, though no formal request to leave has been submitted. His representatives are expected to hold discussions with Leipzig after the conclusion of international duty.
For now, Leipzig’s message is clear: one of Europe’s most promising young wingers is not for sale, and any interested club—including Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United—will need to wait or present an exceptional offer to change that stance
