Lille would offload Man City target Ayyoub Bouaddi immediately if they receive an offer in the region of €100m (£86m), according to reports.

The Ligue One side ideally want to keep the teenager until next year, but talkSPORT reporter Ben Jacobs says they would let him leave now, but only if teams increase their bids by €20m (£17m):

“This is a fascinating transfer story because Lille are prepared to sell, but they heavily favour a deal for 2027. Clubs, and Manchester City, have shown they are willing to at least discuss this.”

“It’s €80m at the moment, but could come down for those that say to Lille a loan back or pre-agreement. It’s €100m for other clubs that want an immediate transfer, so that’s going to be one to watch.”

Man City are one of several clubs vying to sign Bouaddi

The 18-year-old has plenty of suitors, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Bayern Munich all mentioned as potential rivals for Enzo Maresca’s side.

Paris Saint-Germain have effectively withdrawn from the running, with the European champions not in the market for a midfielder.

The Anderson deal gives City some flexibility

While some may argue that Maresca needs more than one addition in the middle of the park this summer, the signing of Elliot Anderson means the Cityzens still have several options to choose from in the middle of the park.

Unlike Man United, in particular, who desperately need a new midfielder now, City could choose to wait for a year in order to bring in Bouaddi.

In some ways, it could be the perfect plan if Rodri does leave when his contract expires at the end of next season. The Moroccan international would be a direct replacement for the Ballon d’Or winner.
