There has been conflicting reports on whether Bradley Barcola is a candiate for sale this summer, with Fabrizio Romano now providing an update.

This clash of narratives has left Liverpool fans scratching their heads.

One day, Barcola is described as a key part of Luis Enrique’s long‑term project who will be offered a lucrative new contract to stay, the next he is framed as a realistic target for Premier League clubs, with Arsenal and Liverpool said to be watching developments closely.

David Ornstein has doubled down that the French champions “do not want to sell” under any circumstances and are simply using a huge theoretical fee to ward off suitors.

But Fabrizio Romano has different views.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, the Italian transfer guru feels that it’s not so clear cut that Barcola will remain at PSG, and that he’s been told Barcola has chances of leaving this summer – especially if the Parisian outfit sign Magnes Akliouche and Yan Diomande

“I received a crazy amount of questions on what’s happening with Bradley Barcola. ‘You are saying one thing, others are saying different things'”.

“First of let me clarify guys, I respect all the sources. Anyone can have his own information. Sometimes I can be wrong, sometimes others can be wrong, it’s part of the game.”

I can tell you what I know. What I know is saying Barcola is not for sale and that he’s not leaving PSG this summer is not what I’m told, not at all what I’m told.”

“Because Barcola contract talks are in complete standby, and have been so since last summer. Liverpool were already keen on him last summer, they tried to enter into the Barcola deal last summer.”

“PSG closed the doors in summer 2025, and that stage they expected to get a new deal done for Barcola after rejecting a big proposal from Liverpool – but the new contract is stalling.”

If PSG really want to go for Diomande and Akliouche, the exit of Barcola could be a possibility.”

“I’m not telling you he is 100% leaving PSG because I can’t tell you this – it would take a big amount of money and the player’s will. But I also can’t say he is 100% staying… because I’m told there is movement around Bradley Barcola.”

For now, it feels like a classic tug‑of‑war between clubs, agents and reporters.
