Liverpool have now received big encouragement in quest to sign "very skilled" £116m+ star

Liverpool have been constantly linked with signing Paris Saint-Germain and France winger Bradley Barcola, and a positive new update has now emerged.

It looks as though the Reds are going to miss out on Yan Diomande to PSG this summer, but Barcola is seen as another leading wide option.

The Frenchman is enjoying an impressive World Cup, starting and scoring against Alexander Isak’s Sweden in a 3-0 win on Tuesday evening, and he will be a wanted man if he is allowed to leave his current club before next season.

According to a key new claim from TEAMtalk, PSG are “expected to reluctantly sanction” the sale of Barcola “following positive talks between the winger’s representatives and officials” of Liverpool.

It is also stated that the Reds “have already made fresh contact” with the 23-year-old’s camp “this week”, also being informed that he is “expected to leave this summer” and is “now the top target of a new six-man winger wishlist.”

Will Liverpool strike a deal for PSG star Bradley Barcola?

This is great news for Liverpool, as they pursue a potentially stunning move for Barcola, with Olivier Giroud heaping praise on him in the past:

“He has always been discreet off the field. He is someone who speaks little. What surprised me about him, and about today’s young players, is how confident they are during their early training sessions. Especially him. From the start, he showed what he’s capable of. You can see the potential. He still has room to grow, but he’s already very skilled in dribbling and penetration.”

Barcola is a proven top-level attacker, winning back-to-back Champions League titles with PSG and shining at the World Cup currently, and he can excel on either flank, which Andoni Iraola could love.

The one issue is that a recent report has claimed that Barcola will likely cost more than the £116m that Manchester City are spending on Elliot Anderson, but he is an elite winger who could become a superstar at Liverpool.

At this point, the France ace feels like the leading wide option to join alongside Victor Munoz, but there are likely to be many twists and turns.
