The striker already infuriated his club last season when returning to Belgium for treatment and rehabilitation, preferring his own personal physiotherapist to the ones provided by the Partenopei.
Lukaku and Napoli ready to split

The departure of coach Antonio Conte will have further damaged the reasons for staying at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Napoli in turn are eager to let him go because of his massive salary, which is reported to be around €12.5m for the remaining year.
Even with that in mind, the Gazzetta dello Sport and TuttoNapoli claim that the asking price for any Lukaku sale is going to be a minimum of €10m.

It is also worth remembering that Chelsea are owed 30 per cent of the future sale, but only if it reaches a minimum of €15m.
The 33-year-old has interest from his old club RSC Anderlecht, but a more likely destination is the MLS in America, or the Saudi Pro League.
Napoli paid €30.7m to buy him outright in 2024 after loan experiences at Inter and Roma.
