Enzo Fernandez’s Agent Confirms Chelsea Exit Plan Amid Real Madrid Pursuit

Reports are emerging that Enzo Fernandez’s camp is making frantic moves to engineer a summer departure from Stamford Bridge. His agent, Javier Pastore, former Paris Saint-Germain playmaker who represents the 25-year-old Argentine midfielder, has now laid bare that urgency.

On more than one occasion, the World Cup winner has openly admitted his love for the Spanish capital, while repeatedly casting doubt over his Chelsea future. He was hit with a two-match suspension earlier in the campaign for such comments. Negotiations over the terms of his contract, which runs until 2032, have completely broken down.

Pastore has not concealed the fact that the player’s agents are now actively considering avenues for a departure from Stamford Bridge this summer. The former Paris Saint-Germain star had earlier blamed a breakdown in talks for the tensions, telling The Athletic that a player of Fernandez’s standing should be on a much higher wage than he is currently receiving at Chelsea.

But the Blues are in a strong position and are said to be demanding a fee in the region of £120m for their prized asset. The Blues paid Benfica around £107 million for Fernandez in 2023 and have no intention whatsoever of sanctioning a cut-price sale this summer.

It’s understood the midfielder’s role has toughened after Chelsea’s poor tenth in the Premier League saw them miss out on European football for the season. There were plenty of storms around him, but he still managed 10 goals and four assists in the Premier League, finishing as runner-up to Chelsea’s Player of the Season. That’s exactly why so many elite suitors remain circling.

Marc Cucurella Tells Enzo Fernandez to Complete Real Madrid Reunion

Former team-mate Marc Cucurella is openly making a case for Fernandez to join him at Real Madrid. The Spain left-back left Chelsea earlier this month, joining up with Bernardo Silva and Ibrahima Konate in a squad now managed by returning boss Jose Mourinho.

Cucurella has not hidden his desire to share a locker room with the Argentine again in the Spanish capital. He described Fernandez as a great player, a friend, and hoped a deal could be done so they could both make the move in the same summer. And the 27-year-old clearly believes his countryman has the temperament to flourish under the pressures of the Bernabeu.

Reports suggested Fernandez is Mourinho’s first-choice midfield target at Real Madrid and the Portuguese is a big admirer of the player. The stumbling block is Chelsea’s high valuation, which could yet force Los Blancos to consider a player-plus-cash deal involving established first-team names.
