Oliver Skipp's future at Leicester City could take a new twist following Hayden Hackney's transfer to Everton from Middlesbrough. Boro are understood to be admirers of Skipp and could make a move this summer.
The midfielder has three years left on his contract at the King Power Stadium after arriving from Tottenham in 2024. City paid in the region of £20m to sign the Englishman and will have to accept a loss on him if they are to sell him.
It's understood that Middlesbrough like Skipp and he is one of the midfielders on their radar. Previously, it was reported that Leicester had slapped a £15m price tag on the 25-year-old's head - a figure that Boro have no interest in paying.

The Telegraph reported that the Championship side were considering a move for Skipp to replace Hackney, but it's understood that he's not viewed as a replacement, but more as an addition to strengthen Kim Hellberg's No.6 options.
Now, a move for Skipp could gather pace after the first relevant step was confirmed. Hackney's move to Everton was announced on Thursday with the 24-year-old signing a five-year contract with the Premier League club.

It's currently uncertain how much Boro value Skipp and would be willing to pay. Leicester, on the other hand, will want to ensure they don't put any interest party off by demanding such a hefty fee for a player that has suffered back-to-back relegations.
