Liverpool FC have officially confirmed four new arrivals from Bournemouth.

Assistant coach Tommy Elphick, set-piece coach Shaun Cooper, analyst Tom Webber and fitness coach Pablo de la Torre have all followed the Spaniard to Anfield from the Cherries.

A club statement read:

“Four new members of Andoni Iraola’s coaching staff at Liverpool have now been confirmed.”

“Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper join the Reds as first-team coaches ahead of the 2026-27 season.”

“Pablo de la Torre arrives as an assistant coach and Tom Webber has been appointed as first-team tactical analyst.”

“All four make the move to Merseyside having been part of Iraola’s backroom team throughout his tenure at previous club AFC Bournemouth from 2023 to 2026, which culminated in the Cherries’ highest-placed Premier League finish – sixth last term.”

Elphick transitioned into coaching with Bournemouth’s development squad in late 2021, shortly after retiring as a player, and was promoted to the first-team setup during the 2022/23 season under Gary O’Neil.

Around the same time, former Bournemouth defender Shaun Cooper also moved up to the senior coaching staff following Scott Parker’s departure in that same campaign.

The pair stayed on under Andoni Iraola and are believed to share a strong relationship with the new manager.

Pablo de la Torre, meanwhile, linked up with Bournemouth in 2023 as Iraola’s fitness coach after their spell together at Rayo Vallecano.

It will certainly help that Iraola’s trusted lieutenants are in place well before the first ball is kicked in pre-season.

Liverpool will kick off their pre-season schedule later this month, with plans that include a tour of the United States.

During their time across the Atlantic, the Reds are slated to take on Sunderland, Leeds and Wrexham, before heading back to Merseyside to round off preparations with home friendlies against Monaco and Como at Anfield.

The likes of Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch, Alexander Isak, and Florian Wirtz will be among the senior players back earlier than expected due to their round of 32 exits at the World Cup.
