Barnsley have signed Manchester City defender Isaac Smith on a two-year deal.
The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with the Tykes' academy side.
"I just want to build on what I started here," he told the club website.
"I feel like people have trusted me to do a job, and I want to do it properly."
