Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola has admitted that he 'doesn't know' what the future holds after he's done representing France at the FIFA World Cup, following heavy speculation that he could leave the club.
Barcola has been linked with Liverpool for several months, and the transfer links intensified once Mohamed Salah announced he would be departing Anfield after nine years. PSG head coach Luis Enrique is a big fan of Barcola, but the French club is closing in on a deal for Yan Diomande.
Diomande, 19, was a primary target for Liverpool, but the Ivory Coast winner has reportedly prioritized PSG over a move to England. Therefore, PSG may be forced to sell Barcola, which could be big news for Liverpool, but the French winger has no idea what the future holds.
Barcola scored his second goal of the FIFA World Cup in a 3-0 win over Sweden, as France continues to dominate so far. France will face Paraguay in the Round of 16 stage on Saturday, and ahead of the game, Barcola was asked about his future.
"Focus on (the) World Cup now. After that, my future… I don’t know," he replied.
France has a maximum of four games remaining at the World Cup, and it's been a grueling but successful season for Barcola and his PSG teammates. Barcola celebrated winning the French title with PSG, and the club also edged Arsenal in the Champions League final.

PSG has a stunning selection of offensive talent, but with Diomande giving the green light on a five-year deal, the pressure for places has increased. Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, and Barcola are already at the club, but Diomande could push one out.
Kvaratskhelia is seen as one of the best left-wingers in the world, while Dembele is the best player in the world, after winning the Ballon d'Or last year. Diomande is one of the most exciting talents playing domestically in Europe and could be acquired for upwards of $100 million.
While Doue and Barcola are both stunning talents, the latter is two years older. Doue has a high ceiling, and PSG may prioritize age with potential, forcing Barcola out.

Liverpool is in need of wide options with Salah leaving the club, and Barcola could be tempted by a French group of players already at Anfield. Ibrahima Konate may have joined Real Madrid on a free transfer, but Hugo Ekitike and new signing Jeremy Jacquet are on the roster.

Barcola's two goals and one assist in four World Cup games have also been a positive sign, especially after scoring 11 in the French league last season. However, it was a slump from a breakout 2024-25 season.
That year, Barcola netted 14 goals and 11 assists in Ligue 1, and had seven goal contributions in the Champions League. Barcola and PSG are back-to-back European champions, having won it for the first time last year.
However, Liverpool isn't the only team monitoring Barcola, as Arsenal has emerged as a candidate. Arsenal is reportedly interested in Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers, but could turn to Barcola if a deal doesn't materialize.
