The Andoni Iraola era is well and truly taking shape at Liverpool, with another member of Arne Slot’s coaching staff having now left the club as the new-look backroom has been confirmed.
Liverpool confirmed the appointments of four members to Iraola’s bench, with Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper joining as first-team coaches, while Pablo de la Torre arrives as an assistant coach and Tom Webber takes up the role of first-team tactical analyst.
All four previously worked with Iraola at Bournemouth, and arrive at Anfield after Slot’s support staff followed him out of the exit door. Sipke Hulshoff, Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Ruben Peeters’ all departed last month, while a fourth name has also now confirmed his exit.
Roderick van der Ham, who held Webber’s role as first-team tactical analyst, confirmed in a post on LinkedIn on Wednesday that he had joined the rest of Slot’s coaches in leaving Liverpool.
Van der Ham joined the club in 2024, reuniting with Slot after working alongside him at Feyenoord. He had previously had spells at RKC Waalwijk, NAC Breda and Heracles Almelo, while also holding a position with the Netherlands U19s, where he worked with current Liverpool stars Jeremie Frimpong and Ryan Gravenberch.
“June has come to an end, and so has my time at Liverpool Football Club,” Van der Ham wrote as he confirmed his departure from Anfield.

“It has been a privilege to work for such a club, but even more so to share every day with many great people. I’ve enjoyed all of it, without a single regret.
“To all the staff and everyone at the AXA Training Centre and Anfield: thank you for a period I’ll always look back on with so much joy and gratitude.
“Being part of the group that won the Premier League in 2024/25 was the highlight of it all, a wonderful memory I’ll carry with me.”
Liverpool’s new-look coaching staff will soon get the chance to work with their new squad for the first time, with the first batch of players set to return for pre-season later this month.

Liverpool FC have launched their new home kit for the 2026/27, inspired by iconic adidas strip worn during the club's 1989/90 title-winning campaign.
Five of the Reds’ eight representatives at this year’s World Cup have been knocked out of the tournament this week, which could also see them return to training with the Reds sooner than expected. Florian Wirtz, Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak have all exited at the last-32 stage.
Alisson Becker, Alexis Mac Allister and new signing Victor Munoz all remain in the tournament for now, while Jeremy Jacquet’s arrival was confirmed earlier this week after a deal was agreed with Rennes at the start of the year.
Liverpool will be heading to the United States on tour this summer, where they will face Sunderland, Wrexham and Leeds before returning to Anfield for friendlies against Monaco and Como.
