Liverpool and Premier League champions Arsenal have been heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola this summer.
Barcola is seen as a key attacking target for Liverpool after Yan Diomande’s preference to join PSG emerged. Should Diomande leave RB Leipzig for Paris, it could open the door for Barcola to be available, with the French international already entering the final two years of his contract.
The 23-year-old is regarded as one of the standout wingers in this summer’s market and is expected to attract significant interest if he pushes for a move.
Liverpool are looking to strengthen in attack and midfield. Alternatives to Diomande and Barcola are also being considered, including Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh, Köln’s Said El Mala, and Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo.
Barcola has provided an update on his future amid growing speculation. The France international said, as quoted by RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins: “I am focused on the World Cup, what will happen after that, I don’t know.”
Bradley Barcola is reportedly pushing to leave Paris Saint-Germain amid the club’s pursuit of Yan Diomande, who is expected to cost around €100m.
Barcola is said to be hesitant to sign a new contract as he seeks more regular starts next season, increasing uncertainty over his future in Paris.
However, PSG’s position remains that the French winger is not for sale, with any potential deal likely to require a fee well above the £116m Manchester City paid for Elliot Anderson.
Signing Bradley Barcola would represent a major statement from Liverpool, who have already strengthened their attack with the arrival of Victor Munoz from Osasuna.
Liverpool are also mindful of managing the development of Rio Ngumoha, ensuring his progression is not disrupted by the addition of another high-profile forward.
Barcola has established himself as one of Ligue 1’s standout players since joining Paris Saint-Germain from Lyon in 2023. He netted 13 goals and provided seven assists across 49 appearances in the 2025/26 season. Barcola has carried that form into the 2026 FIFA World Cup, registering two goals and one assist so far.
Liverpool are preparing for life after Mohamed Salah, while also still seeking a long-term solution following Luis Diaz’s move to Bayern Munich. With Cody Gakpo’s consistency also under scrutiny, Barcola is viewed as a strong option to reinforce the attack.
