"They are meeting tomorrow..."- Liverpool are now in key talks with Premier League club

Liverpool are holding a meeting with fellow Premier League club Crystal Palace on Friday, according to an intriguing new claim that has emerged.

The Reds have only signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna this summer, as well as the already-agreed Jeremy Jacquet, but it is still early days in the transfer window.

This feels like a critical period for Liverpool, following a shocking season under Arne Slot by their high standards, with various players needed across several positions.

One Palace player who has been linked with a summer move to Anfield is Adam Wharton, who was arguably unlucky to miss out on a place in England’s 2026 World Cup squad.

The midfielder has been mentioned as one of many options in the middle of the park, as well as Bournemouth’s Alex Scott, who Andoni Iraola alresdy knows well.

While not specifically mentioned, it may be that Wharton remains a target for Liverpool, with a respected source on X providing a key update on Thursday evening: “Liverpool officials are in a London hotel. They are meeting tomorrow, we think, with CPFC.”

Which other Crystal Palace players could Liverpool be eyeing up?

Wharton would be a great summer signing for Liverpool, should a move materialise, with former Palace teammate Eberechi Eze lauding him:

“He’s an incredible player to play with. Playing with him at Palace, I’ve got used to seeing the way he plays and understanding him. He’s very calm, composed, and a joy to play with. For someone so young, he’s very mature and very wise. When you speak to him, it feels like you’re speaking to someone older than you, that’s the type of person he is. He’s an incredible player.”

If it isn’t Wharton who is being discussed, other Palace players could also shine for Liverpool, with centre-back Maxence Lacroix an impressive option.

Daniel Munoz has shone, and would add quality at right-back – he is admittedly at his best as a wing-back, though – while Jean-Philippe Mateta would provide good competition for Alexander Isak in attack.

It is Wharton who stands out as the most exciting Palace player with the highest ceiling, however, and it would be superb to see him join the Reds, even though it looks a long way from certain.
