The 33-year-old former England international dropped in at the BrewDog Stadium where he was greeted by Saints’ Everton-supporting half back Jackson Hastings.
He was also joined by teammates Matty Lees, Shane Wright and Tristan Sailor as part of the publicity to promote Super League’s jamboree on the banks of the Mersey.
It was an eye-opener for all concerned with Tarkowski taking on a variety of rugby league challenges.

It started with some solid drives on the tackle shields but attention soon turned to kicking with Tarkowski showing how adept he was in transferring his skills from the round ball to the oval ball.

He launched a number of wicked high kicks that tested full back Tristan Sailor, before nailing a number of difficult conversions, Tarkowski then showed some of his football skills before presenting the Saints quartet with Everton shirts.

Saints reciprocated by presenting their guest with a replica of the royal blue and white vertical striped shirt they will be wearing at Magic.
Hastings said: “Tarky came down to training and we ran him through some drills and he hit the bag well and he kicked goals from everywhere.
“As a kicker myself I learned a few things from him."

The Saints head to Everton’s new home ground on Sunday for the closing game of Magic WKND 2026 against Wigan Warriors, 5.30pm.
