Man City want a 2nd midfield signing after Anderson
Despite splashing out an eyewatering £116m on Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson, Director of Football Hugo Viana has his sights on bringing in another addition for the middle of the pitch.
Some believe the main motivation behind that decision is uncertainty over the future of Rodri, but there are also doubts over whether the likes of Nico Gonzalez, Tijjani Reijnders and Mateo Kovacic will still be at the Etihad Stadium beyond the summer.

Scott’s asking price is steep
The Daily Mail report that Bournemouth may have sold the midfielder for £60m, but the inflated market has led to them deciding to increase their valuation.
They don’t mention a specific price, but other sources have suggested that the Cherries may only offload Scott for a fee in the region of £80m.
Considering that alternative targets, such as Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi, would cost a similar amount to sign, it remains to be seen who Viana ends up pursuing.
For many fans, it seems Scott would be an underwhelming choice. He did have an impressive season under Andoni Iraola, but it was his first year playing in a deeper-lying midfield role. For a player who would cost a sizeable amount, you would hope for someone who has a bit more experience and has demonstrated his ability week in, week out for several seasons.
