Chelsea sources remain relaxed on the Enzo Fernandez situation after Real Madrid released a public statement on the gripping transfer saga.
Los Blancos issued a statement on Friday morning insisting the Spanish club has "no intention" of pursuing a move for Fernandez this summer despite mass speculation in the last couple of months. Fernandez, sources say, is determined to move to the Santiago Bernabeu before the start of the new season and Real are too keen on the midfielder.
Despite their interest, Jose Mourinho 's side, it seems, will not be moving for the Argentina international. The statement comes after Javier Pastore, Fernandez's outspoken representative, spoke to two separate Spanish news outlets earlier in the week stating his client's desire to move to the Bernabeu and how Real were pursuing a deal.

The Madrid-based outlet categorically denied such talk.
From the Blues' perspective, nothing has really changed: Fernandez is available for £120million and if that price is not met, he will be playing his football at Stamford Bridge next season.
Fernandez remains a highly-valued member of the Chelsea squad, sources say, and they expect the 25-year-old to be at the club next season as Xabi Alonso takes the reins. Blues sources have been insistent throughout the process that no club-to-club talks have taken place for Fernandez and the statement coming out of Madrid on Friday backs that up.
Elsewhere, Chelsea are planning on submitting a second offer to Sunderland for Granit Xhaka. The Blues saw an £8m bid rebuffed for the Switzerland international with Black Cats sources insistent he is not for sale this summer after a mightily impressive debut season at the Stadium of Light.
