Jack Grealish has chronicled his final month as an Everton player with a June photo dump that was heavy on Blues-related material.

The playmaker took to Instagram to share a collection of images from the past four weeks, a series that dovetailed with his return to light training as he continued his recovery from the stress fracture to his foot that ended his season early.

Grealish last played for Everton in the win at Aston Villa, one of his former clubs, on January 18. Yet he continued to build his relationship with the club as he underwent his rehabilitation at Finch Farm.

Instead of returning to parent club Manchester City, Grealish continued his work at Everton’s training ground after the season ended - and after many of his teammates had left for their summer break or international duty.

That yielded a landmark in his recovery two weeks ago, when he shared images of him taking to the grass in his Everton training gear. He wrote at the time: “Ahhh man can’t even explain how good this felt! 5 months ago since I last put my boots on.. Back on the grass today! Best feeling ever man. Time to get ready.”

In his latest post, Grealish provided pictures with friends and family, including holiday photos. But Everton remained a core part of the collection with seven of the 14 images showing him either training - often in his Everton training kit and at Finch Farm - or providing a nod to the club, with one image of his daughter wearing an Everton home shirt with his number, 18, on it under ‘daddy’.

Grealish has made little secret of the fondness that has grown for the club, including manager David Moyes. Aside from what he did on the pitch - providing six assists and two match-winning goals - he was a regular supporter of Everton in the Community charity events.

Moyes and his teammates also enjoyed the presence of Grealish, who was seen as a positive influence on the squad. There has long been an expectation Everton will revisit Grealish’s situation with Man City this summer with a view to securing another loan deal for the 30-year-old - though the success of his recovery is likely to be assessed before serious talks advance.
