Free agent receives contract offers from Leeds United, Manchester United and Everton - report

Out-of-contract Leeds United goalkeeper Karl Darlow reportedly has three offers on the table

Karl Darlow has reportedly received contract offers from Leeds United, Manchester United and Everton.

The 35-year-old goalkeeper is officially a free agent having seen the three-year deal he was given by Leeds in 2023 run out.

Reports have indicated Leeds want to keep the Wales international, who has been strongly linked with both Manchester United and Everton.

Karl Darlow contract ‘offers’ made

According to Mail Online, there is a contract renewal offer on the table from Leeds. However, there are also said to be offers from the Red Devils and the Toffees.

Fans are currently waiting for Darlow’s decision with bated breath, keen to see where the seasoned stopper sees his immediate future.

He enjoyed a strong end to the 2025/26 campaign, delivering a series of assured Premier League displays having dislodged Lucas Perri as Daniel Farke’s number one in January.

His exploits helped Leeds stay afloat in the top flight and it is clear to see why the Whites want to keep the former Hull City loanee.

However, amid talk of Leeds wanting to sign a new number one, Darlow could find himself demoted back to an understudy role.

It is a role he would most likely play at Old Trafford or the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but offers from Manchester United and Everton may be more lucrative.

Karl Darlow’s time at Leeds United

Leeds signed Darlow from Newcastle United in the summer of 2023 after their relegation from the Premier League.

He was signed amid uncertainty over the future of Illan Meslier, who ended up staying put and keeping Darlow on the bench for nearly two full seasons in the Championship.

It was not until April 2025 that Meslier lost his spot and Darlow was given a chance to establish himself at Elland Road.

He helped push the Whites over the line in the Championship promotion race, only to see Perri signed and placed above him in the pecking order last summer.

Darlow eventually returned to Farke’s starting XI in January, reclaiming his position after a series of Perri blunders.
