Alejandro Garnacho’s time at Chelsea has been a disappointment overall and he could be ready to leave after a single season.
The Argentine played only 24 games for the Blues, found the net once and assisted four times in the Premier League. In the Champions League, he featured for only 330 minutes.
During his time at Manchester United, Garnacho was a key target for Napoli. Sport Witness covered their moves closely but the Partenopei ended missing out. At one point a move there was presented as being on the verge of happening.
The idea of a move to Italy is gaining traction once again and Chelsea have a decision to make.
Roma in the picture
Journalist Alfredo Pedulla reports on the 22-year-old, who finds his future at Stamford Bridge uncertain.
The journalist states AS Roma have stepped forward for the Argentine. Gian Piero Gasperini appears keen on signing him, with a move unlikely to impact their interest in Mason Greenwood.
It is believed the Rome side could be flexible in their options. They have qualified for the Champions League and this allows them to pursue a permanent deal if they so wish.

Roma signed Donyell Malen from Aston Villa in the winter market, later making that switch permanent. The Dutchman has been a huge success, and the Serie A side would be hoping for similar from Alejandro Garnacho.
Roma have significant uncertainties in their attack right now. Matias Soule and Paulo Dybala can both depart and this will leave attacking positions free.
Garnacho can benefit from Gasperini’s presence. The Italian can bring more out of attacking players through his man-for-man system and the Chelsea player could grow under the manager.
