Liverpool have placed Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola top of their summer transfer wishlist, with Fabrizio Romano issuing the latest update on the France international moving to Anfield.
It already feels like a transformational summer at Liverpool after Arne Slot was replaced with Andoni Iraola in the dugout, and with players who have been key for years moving onto pastures new in Andy Robertson, Ibrahima Konate and Mohamed Salah.
With the summer transfer window open for another two months, the Reds' only addition to date has been a deal to sign Spain international winger Victor Munoz.
The Merseyside outfit were also confident of landing their preferred Salah replacement in Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig, but the Ivorian teenager has decided that a switch to PSG is his preferred move, although there has been no progress on that deal happening as of yet.
Liverpool do have other winger targets they are now exploring, with GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Ben Jacobs revealing that the likes of Said El Mala, Yankuba Minteh and Matias Fernandez-Pardo, with the latter currently at the 2026 World Cup with Belgium.
The Reds have also held a long-term interest in Barcola and tried to prise him away from the Parc des Princes last summer, and it appears as though they could soon make another attempt.

Now the Diomande deal is looking to be dead, Romano says that Liverpool have now put Barcola at the 'top of their list' as they look to sign a high-profile winger ahead of next season.
Of course, the Reds' hopes of landing Barcola will actually be helped if PSG can complete a deal for Yan Diomande, while they are also looking at a move for Monaco forward Maghnes Akliouche too.
Romano says that it's now up to Liverpool to make a big offer for the French 'superstar', speaking on his latest YouTube video, with the Athletic claiming he is valued at £116m-plus by the French club.
He said: "It has to be a big proposal. So it's on Liverpool, for example. Liverpool have Barcola on top of their list, so Barcola is always on Liverpool's list. I told you this for months. I always told you, don't forget Barcola.
"And now here we are with Barcola as a serious target for Liverpool, but obviously it depends financially what they can do in order to reach an agreement with Paris and Germain, so we have to keep a close eye on Barcola."

Liverpool Plotting Surprise Move for Brazilian Star
Former Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola celebrates after Premier League matchvia Reuters
Reports emerged this week that Liverpool are also plotting a surprise move to sign Fulham's Brazilian winger Kevin.
The 23-year-old only joined the Cottagers in a club-record deal last summer, and while he showed some impressive glances of his qualities, it was overall quite a slow start to his career in English football.
17 of his 26 Premier League appearances last term came from the substitutes' bench, but still he only provided one goal and two assists in the English top flight.
It remains to be seen if Liverpool firm up their reported interest in the South American, but Reds fans will surely want a bigger name to arrive to replace Salah.
