Everton facing competition after long pursuit – Aston Villa and Newcastle now in picture

Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Everton and Fulham are all in the picture to sign Atalanta’s El Bilal Touré this summer.

The Merseyside club’s interest in the striker isn’t new. In fact, there’s been claims of the Toffees as an option for the past four years.

In August 2024, La Dea considered offering him to Everton in exchange for Beto, but a swap deal never went through. Two years later, David Moyes’ side are back in the mix, and Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Fulham have joined them.

Newcastle, Aston Villa, Everton and Fulham keen

The Mali international has been on loan at VfB Stuttgart and Beşiktaş over the last two seasons.

He managed seven goals and five assists from 2,001 minutes from 26 matches for the Black Eagles.

Africa Foot claims Beşiktaş had a purchase option but didn’t exercise it. El Bilal Touré can move to the Premier League where Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Everton and Fulham are interested in signing him.

These four clubs are ‘in the running’ to sign the 24-year-old, and among these, Fulham have taken the lead. The outlet makes no mention of what the London club have done to stay ahead.

Fulham, who are in the process of appointing Álvaro Arbeloa as Marco Silva’s successor, want to bolster their attack with Touré.

They and three other Premier League sides will face tough competition from Fenerbahçe. The Yellow Canaries are making progress in their negotiations to extend his stay in Turkey.
