Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been offered the opportunity to sign AC Milan forward Rafael Leão, a long-term target of both Liverpool and Manchester United, after new Milan manager Rúben Amorim is said to have made the Portugal international available for transfer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian publication claims that Leão has been deemed surplus to requirements under Amorim’s early plans at the San Siro, with Milan now open to negotiating a sale should a suitable offer arrive.
The winger, who has been one of Serie A’s standout attacking players in recent seasons, is understood to carry a valuation of at least €60 million (£50m+), although any deal is expected to require significantly more given his profile and contract situation.
Leão has long been regarded as one of Europe’s most exciting wide forwards, attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, including LIVERPOOL and Manchester United. His combination of pace, physical strength and direct attacking play has made him a consistent standout in Italy, where he has been a key figure in Milan’s domestic and European campaigns.
However, Tottenham are now believed to have been formally informed of his availability, with intermediaries reportedly exploring potential Premier League options for the 26-year-old. Spurs are said to be assessing wide attacking reinforcements as part of their ongoing squad development strategy, particularly as they look to add more goal threat and creativity from the flanks.
Despite the speculation, there is no indication that Tottenham have made a formal bid at this stage, and internal discussions are expected to take place before any decision is made on whether to pursue the player.
Financial considerations are likely to play a significant role, with Leão’s wages and transfer fee both representing a major investment.
LIVERPOOL and Manchester United’s long-standing admiration for the Portuguese international adds further intrigue to the situation. Both clubs have previously monitored his progress closely, though neither is understood to have advanced negotiations in recent windows.
AC Milan, meanwhile, are reportedly open to reshaping their squad under Amorim’s leadership, with several players potentially available depending on offers received. Leão’s future is expected to be one of the most closely watched storylines of the summer window, particularly if competition develops between multiple Premier League clubs.
For now, the situation remains at an early stage, with Tottenham’s interest still exploratory and no formal talks confirmed. However, the prospect of Leão becoming available could trigger significant movement across the Premier League market in the weeks ahead.
