Claims that Martin Odegaard has agreed terms with Galatasaray are false football.london understands.
Reports had circulated in Turkey that the Arsenal captain’s agent, Bjorn Kvarme, had been in Istanbul, but football.london has been told by sources close to the player that his agent has been with him in the United States supporting his impressive performances with Norway.
The 27-year-old became just the third player since 1966 to earn an assist in each of his first three World Cup appearances.

Furthermore, Odegaard is understood to be ‘very happy’ at Arsenal, and the club are just as happy with him for his performances both on and off the pitch during the Premier League-winning season.
Odegaard was unfortunate with injuries during the previous campaign. Initially, dealing with two shoulder problems before a knee injury kept him out of the side for two extended periods.
He has faced competition from Eberechi Eze this season but remained a key figure while fit. Mikel Arteta has persistently batted away talk of a chance in the captaincy, stating again and again that Odegaard has his backing, and that of the players who all unanimously voted for him to wear the armband once again.
Odegaard remains focused on helping Norway make history in the summer tournament. He and his Norwegian teammates will be taking on tournament heavyweights Brazil on Sunday evening.

If eliminated, Odegaard will begin his summer break, extended due to his participation this summer in the World Cup. But could return to the squad before the end of July where Arsenal’s pre-season schedule begins on August 1 away to Girona before a trip to Dublin to face Real Betis on August 5.
