Arsenal open talks to sign £86m 'superstar', he'd be their own Lamine Yamal [view]

Arsenal are looking to add some more quality touches to Mikel Arteta's squad this summer, as they look to build on an outstanding 2025-26 campaign.

Arsenal had already wrapped up their first Premier League title win since 2004 prior to their visit to Budapest for the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, where they came within a penalty shootout of delivering their first Champions League trophy.

The Gunners don't need a squad overhaul this summer like their London neighbours Tottenham Hotspur do, with Spurs already agreeing six new signings, with more to come.

But Arsenal and Arteta will be keen to upgrade his squad where he can, and if rumours are to be believed it appears as though there could be a focus on the attack.

Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers has emerged as the north Londoner's number one transfer target for their attack, although the latest reports claim that the Midlands side are ready to demand a British transfer record £130m fee to do business in this transfer window.

Arsenal are likely to be looking at alternative options too, and they have opened talks with a player who can also play behind the striker or on the left wing like Rogers.

According to Turkish-Football, Arsenal have now advanced their interest in Juventus attacker Kenan Yildiz and made a formal enquiry to try and bring the Turkey international to the Premier League.

The outlet claim that the Gunners are now lining up a blockbuster move to bring the 21-year-old 'superstar' to the Emirates Stadium, now that his nation have been eliminated from the 2026 World Cup early.

Arsenal are said to have made it clear they want Yildiz to be a marquee signing for them this summer, with Arteta identifying the left wing as one of the priority positions he wants to be stronger for next season.

It is claimed that Juve would demand well in excess of €100m (£86m) to sell their prized asset, even though they missed out on Champions League qualification last term.

Yildiz Would be Arsenal's Own Lamine Yamal

Lamine Yamal, Spain

Despite only turning 21 years of age in May, it is clear to see already why Yildiz is so highly-rated across Europe.

The playmaker has already delivered 27 goals and 21 assists in 131 appearances for Juve, often proving to be a big threat in the final third for the Old Lady.

If he isn't already considered one, it is clear that Yildiz is a future superstar and it would be no surprise to see him playing for an even bigger club than Juve as his career goes on.

Giuseppe Rossi is certainly a big fan of the Turkey international, already believing he is a future Ballon d'Or winner after watching him in action in Serie A.

Such is his impact and importance to Juve, Rossi has also labelled Yildiz as the 'Lamine Yamal of the Bianconeri', which is quite the level of praise.

Arsenal would not be able to prise Yamal away from the Camp Nou anytime soon, but they would land their own version of the Spaniard if they can land Yildiz.
