Morgan Rogers laughed off suggestions that he is a £130 million player after reports claimed Aston Villa value him that highly.
The 23-year-old England international has emerged as a target for Arsenal this summer, but the Gunners would reportedly have to pay a huge fee to prise him away from Villa Park.
According to The Telegraph, Villa value Rogers higher than Elliot Anderson, who recently completed a £116 million move to Manchester City.
The reported £130 million valuation would also eclipse the British-record £125 million Liverpool paid Newcastle United for Alexander Isak last summer.
Rogers, who is currently in the United States with England at the World Cup, was asked about the reported valuation after a training session.
"I'm not sure that I'm worth all of that! Of course, it's nice to hear people say those things, but I don't let outside noise dictate to me.
"I'm just going to keep focused, keep being myself and keep being the person who got me here while trying to improve. I don't really listen to stuff like that."
If Rogers were to be sold by Villa this summer, Middlesbrough would receive a sizeable 20 per cent sell-on fee.
He joined Villa from Boro in January 2024 for an initial £8 million, with the deal rising to £15 million through add-ons.
Last season, Rogers scored 14 goals in all competitions and also contributed 11 assists.
