Manchester United, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest keen on midfielder– Work ongoing to finalise sale

Manchester United, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest are all chasing Juventus’ Khéphren Thuram this summer.

On June 16th, we relayed news that the midfielder rejects Saudi Arabia move and is holding out for Liverpool or Manchester United.

Last week, Sport Witness covered claims from Italy that Nottingham Forest made a firm approach. The Serie A side are looking to offload him in this window if there’s an offer of around €40m.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest interested

Tuttosport covers the latest on the Premier League trio in a report, focusing on Juventus’ interest in Franck Kessié.

The former AC Milan man is now without a club since leaving Al-Ahli for free on June 30th. His desire is to return to Italy where the Turin club have shown strong interest.

Luciano Spalletti’s side are offering Kessié a three-year deal worth €5m per year and are hoping no other clubs come forward. They have to offload one of their midfielders to make room for him.

It’s ‘no coincidence’ Juve have identified Khéphren Thuram as a sale candidate and are working to finalise his sale.

When discussing the 25-year-old suitors, Manchester United, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest are named.

These three clubs have expressed their interest in the Frenchman, and the Old Lady are working hard to place him in the Premier League this summer.

There’s been a talk of the Serie A side demanding €50m for the midfielder, but none of his suitors are willing to match. It’s worth noting last month’s claim stated Juventus have set a €40m price.

Thuram needs to make decision

He has a contract until 2029, with Transfermarkt valuing him at €38m. The former OGC man’s stance on leaving Juventus isn’t clear.

If he wants to leave, the midfielder has to decide on joining Manchester United, Andoni Iraola’s side and Nottingham Forest. The latter haven’t qualified for Europe while the other two can offer Champions League football next season.

Last season, Khéphren Thuram played 45 matches, managing four goals and five assists.
