Liverpool will be aiming to step up its summer transfer plans soon, with Andoni Iraola ready to work with his new squad.
The Reds’ new head coach will have his players reporting for pre-season training later month, with at least two new faces set to be involved. Victor Munoz may have to wait as remains with Spain at the World Cup, but Jeremy Jacquet will be reporting to the AXA Training Centre soon after completing his move from Rennes.
The identity of Liverpool’s next signing is still unknown, although it looks like it won’t be Yan Diomande now. There is still some hope that an alternative can be secured though.
Here is the Liverpool.com verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today.
Bradley Barcola (PSG)
Liverpool has been described as being "all in" on Bradley Barcola by Caught Offside.
The Paris Saint-Germain winger is said to be top of the Reds' list of targets, echoing what Fabrizio Romano has said about him.
It's claimed Liverpool could accelerate its approach for the 23-year-old after the World Cup, although doubts are once again expressed over his potential price tag.

Liverpool FC have launched their new home kit for the 2026/27, inspired by iconic adidas strip worn during the club's 1989/90 title-winning campaign.
Liverpool.com says: If Barcola becomes available this summer, then there's little doubt that he would be the next best thing to signing Diomande this summer.
At this moment in time though, that is still a big if. PSG is showing no signs of letting him go at the moment, and even if they do, there's every chance he could end up costing more than Diomande would have been, and with higher wages. There's still a long, long way to go before Barcola becomes a realistic prospect.
Sergio Arribas (Almeria)
Liverpool has set its sights on Almeria attacking midfielder Sergio Arribas, according to the Spanish club's local newspaper IDEAL.
It's claimed that the Reds may have joined the race for the 24-year-old, who scored 25 goals last season.

Arribas previously played for Real Madrid, and the Bernabeu club still owns 50 percent of his economic rights, it would get half of any transfer fee paid to Almeria, much in the same way that Liverpool had to pay half of Victor Munoz's fee to Real.
Liverpool.com says: It is worth bearing in mind that Almeria is in Spain's second division, so those 25 goals for Arribas aren't quite as impressive as they seem at first.

Still, as a former Real Madrid player, there is clearly some talent there. You do have to wonder though whether another attacking midfielder is needed - a deeper-lying option would surely be the priority in the center of the pitch.
